I’ve been thinking a lot about love at work.
How we show our love to those so far away.
How we come to a place every day and leave the people we love, how we leave every day and go back to them.
I hear the hushed phone calls of my co workers, some say I love you, some just laugh. Some face-time their new born baby.
I wonder if they hear my laughs, my texts, see the small smile across my face. I wonder if they notice, on those occasions when she picks me up, the excitement at leaving and being greeted by someone you love.
I wonder how an office contains all this love. I wonder why it doesn’t reverberate off the walls. Why it doesn’t bounce across every desk.
